It’s been about 10 years since the last Star Wars single-player game, “Force Unleashed II” was released, but this new game, “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” seems to be getting the fans’ interest back after the EA’s controversial Star Wars Battlefront series.

The Star Wars fans have been waiting long and patiently for a new adventure that has the role-playing complexity of “Knights of the Old Republic” and the Force powers of “Unleashed” (Two previously released titles). This game will be taking place between episodes 3 & 4, with the Jedi Order in ruin after being destroyed from within by Darth Vader.

We will be playing as a Jedi padawan named Cal Kestis and trained by Jaro Tapal. Cal was forced into hiding and after being in hiding for so long he has been disconnected from the Force and is unable to use his Jedi powers. It’s not entirely about being a Jedi. It’s about becoming a Jedi.

The game’s mechanics will make you feel like a true Jedi. There will be force abilities like Force Push and Force Slow. Force Push can be used to send your enemies flying or to deflect things like rockets. Force Slow is a new ability that allows Cal to manipulate enemies and objects in extended time. We saw Kylo Ren use something very similar to this in The Force Awakens when he slows a blaster bolt midair at the beginning of the film. But we can’t forget about the lightsabers.

What is a Star Wars game without lightsabers? The combat in this game will allow the combination of force powers and brutally elegant lightsaber strikes. Its melee combat will feel similar to that of a Batman Arkham title. With good timing, parries turn into counter-attacks. This game will also be tactically challenging very much like Dark Souls

“Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” will have no multiplayer and no microtransaction. This was confirmed by Respawn boss Vince Zampella. Which is something of a surprise given the game was published by EA, which focused on multiplayer and microtransactions in recent years. But EA is set that this will be strictly a single-player story mode game and that’s what it is.

Well, there you have it. Looks like Respawn Entertainment’s “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” will be a pretty old-school release.
