Before they say their final goodbyes, many seniors at James Logan High School have decided to have a little fun by not showing up to school this Friday. This event is called Senior Ditch Day.

Many seniors have decided to go to many places other than school.

Annie Lai, a senior, said, “I’m excited to ditch school to go to the beach with my friends. I feel like the seniors all deserve a little relaxation from all their hard work. I’m expecting to see many faces at the beach and it’ll be very fun! I hope my teachers do not give me any pop quizzes on Friday.”

Angelina Mai, a senior, said, “I’m so happy because all my friends and I are planning onto go to the beach on Friday and throwing a beach party there. We are bringing a lot of food, drinks, blankets, and games to play. Having one day to relax from school is really nice to have.”

Cristine Vu, a senior, said, “I’m going somewhere with my friends on Friday. I doubt there will be any seniors in school on Friday. I think it’ll be really awkward to come to school on Friday and everyone in class isn’t here. I want to have fun!”

However, there are some students that feel a bit hesitant about skipping school on Friday.

Janae Bruessard, a senior, said, “I told my parents that I could ditch school on Friday, however, I have decided to still come to school because I’m scared that there may be some kind of pop quiz in my English or math class. I will still come to school to learn.”

Prachi Pati, a senior, said, “I don’t know. I want to ditch but I think my parents will still drive me to school on Friday so I think I might end up going to school. It’ll be a bit lonely in my senior classes because most of the students will be gone.”

Despite having some students not participating in the Senior Ditch Day for apparent reasons, I hope the rest of the seniors that are ditching school will enjoy this day with their friends and family members!
