We wanted to see how the students of Logan deal with negative people and how effective it was. We wanted to help out students who may not know how to deal with these kinds of people with personal experiences.

Jherse Atamerano, a sophomore, said she deals with negative people by “blocking them on social media and just back way to let them do whatever.” When asked if that was effective she said, “Yes, it’s effective and if they continue then it just shows their true character.”

Austin Flores, a Junior, said that he “ignores them” when he encounters negative people. He said when asked if it was effective,“ Yeah because they know their not winning when they see that I’m not affected by it.”

The consensus for the rest of the people that we interviewed is that they mainly ignore whoever is negative and that seems to be very effective.

To get a better insight on how to deal with negative people we talked to Emily Tran, the social worker at Logan. We asked her how students should deal with negative people and she said, “the best is to communicate directly and find out why they are treating you like they are. Some are negative because they are negative to themselves and can only express their negative thoughts by putting it on other people. If you can repair that relationship then try but if not allow each other to distance themselves.”
