On Monday night, November 28, 2016, a triple shooting happened outside the Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Union Landing.
Union Landing has been long known as the place to hang out on the weekends with friends or family. Thus, the news of crime in Union Landing was extremely shocking, since violence rarely occurs there.
The shooting occurred before 9 p.m and left two people with bullet wounds. In the aftermath of the attack, the victims were left in severe condition. Later, one of the victims died and the other remained in severe condition in the hospital.
Some people had witnessed the shooting, and one of them released the car information of the suspect to the Union City Police Department. This information led the police to discover the car a block away from the scene.
Police arrested 3 people inside the car, which also contained a gun. The three people were the prime suspects of the shooting, but the police also stopped over a car that was speeding away from the scene. In that car, the police discovered and arrested another suspect of the shooting: a third victim with a bullet wound, also in severe condition.
The residents of Union City are evidently shaken by the incident, and we all hope that the police punish whoever was involved, to make us feel secure again.
The shooting happened on November 28.
