A young boy was arrested in Union City last week for resisting arrest. There were reports of the said boy (14 years old) running out of his house and allegedly firing shots at a group of people running toward Mann Avenue, police said Friday. The boy’s name will not be released because he is a minor.
Officers were sent to the 34800 block of Starling Drive at 11a.m. ; the place where the shooting allegedly occurred and they said that the 14 year old matched the description of the shooter. When confronted by the officers the suspect was reported to have run away from them. The boy was arrested and then given a notice to appear in court and was afterwards released to a parent. Fortunately nobody was injured from the shooting.
