Ever wondered how a self-diagnosed psychopath and life-hating girl handles some pretty insane events in the span of five to six days?

The End Of The F***ing World shows just that. Based on the 2013 graphic novel written by Charles Forsman, The End Of The F***ing World is on Netflix and follows two teens, James (Alex Lawther) and Alyssa (Jessica Barden), through some pretty life changing events.

The movie is about about two teen named James, a self-diagnosed psychopath who wants to move on from killing animals to humans, and Alyssa, a teenage girl who wants more than her boring life. Alyssa spots James and hopes he’ll put some excitement into her life. However, as Alyssa is admiring how James looks, he’s thinking of how he’s going to kill her. The show follows them as they decide to leave their ‘boring’ town and make a run for it. Alyssa acts as the leader in making all their decisions while James follows her, planning how he’s going to kill her. As the show develops, James and Alyssa have made some pretty awful choices but as they do, their bond becomes much stronger. The frequent flashbacks show how hurt and damaged the characters are by events that have happened in the past.

The show does an amazing job at not only developing our two main characters story arcs but the minor characters’ as well. From James’ dad, who truly does love his son, to the two detectives assigned to the teens’ case who have some tension between them. The inner monologues of both teens aid us, the audience, in getting to understand the teens on a deeper level. Although Alyssa seems like a tough and careless person on the outside, her inner monologue reveals that she’s actually quite terrified of what others think of her. Her thoughts help the audience see how vulnerable and scared she what’s happening.

The episodes are about 20 minutes each; perfect for binge watching. With a mix of horror, comedy, and romance that’ll just keep you wanting more, this is a show you don’t want to miss.
