Thanksgiving, the day where all Americans gather to give thanks for what they have and all the blessing that came along through the year. Family gathers and have a great feast, eating great food and enjoying each others company for that night. This tradition has been going on for many years but it seems that the last couple years thing have been changing.
Now when thanksgiving starts to approach and people are starting to see at all the sales and what to buy on Black Friday. People are starting to become more focused on all of that then the actual meaning of what thanksgiving is. The night of thanksgiving we all give thanks for what we have and the next day people act like wild animals getting more things. Some people do not even have their thanksgiving dinner to camp outside of the stores so they are the first to get the best specials.
The Black Friday wildness has been going on for years but now stores are starting to open their doors on thanksgiving day. This meaning that a lot of people are leaving the nice tradition behind to go get more items that are not needed. The stores are not the problem, people are, if people are willing to leave tradition to go shopping for great deals stores are not going to complain.
People really need to look around and see what they are doing to this amazing tradition that not every country has. We give thanks for what we have and the next day we are stuffing ourselves with more things that does not make sense. Thanksgiving is being turned into the day where people camp outside stores, fight others for items, turn into violence animals just to get a couple dollars off on thing that are not even needed.
America open up your eyes and see what this is becoming. Next year maybe worry about calling up family you have not seen in awhile to join you for dinner, or what great dish you will be bring to the table. Come up with some fun activities with the family, instead of worrying about what store to go shop to or what time to wake up be there before anyone else.Do not let this tradition be lost because there is not a lot of things like it.
