Tomb Raider is now the 3rd Square Enix game that has been turned into a movie, and this time around Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander). Angelina Jolie no longer plays this character, but Alicia Vikander does not disappoint. In this movie she is independent and does not think she needs anyone else, although she is the next person in line to take over the Croft Manor with all her dad’s inheritance but she prefers not to. However, once she uncovers these truths about her dad, she goes on a journey to find out what he was involved in, and what happened to him at the place where she thinks he has gone missing.
This movie was the perfect example of learning what it takes to be determined in order to find answers you seek. I would recommend this movie to fans of action movies or people who like paying the tomb raider games. You really can not listen to what other people say about the movie until you watch it yourself. It is a different kind of Tomb Raider but is very creative of how they portray her in this movie.
Personally, as a fan of the reboot game I thought this movie was a masterpiece. Alicia Vikander does justice to Lara Croft’s character. She is a funny, resourceful, and determined character which makes a great role model in my eyes. It is a solid action movie that has some twists and moments that make you want to scream because of how good it is.
