imagesWe all look forward to making New Year’s resolutions; it’s a new year so its a good idea to have new goals and values to accomplish. A new year can be a fresh start on these goals that have an impact on you or will make an impact on you. So, it’s a great opportunity to make some changes to these goals or start fresh.

I do believe 2017 will be an important year for me because I am a junior and this where I feel like there’s a lot of pressure for everything to come out right for my future. I have to take the SAT/ACT, start working, study for AP Exam, and get my driver license. That’s already enough for me to keep myself busy with. I need to accomplish all these things for me to be independent. That is what I intend to accomplish this year.

A junior, Robert Benavides says his New Year’s resolution is “ To prepare for next year’s football season and start applying to college” He also believes this is the time to get focused and make sure our stuff is together. “This year is the year to accomplish many things” he says. We do have to put in the work this year if we want to succeed.

A freshman, Liona Punzalan says her New Year’s resolution is “To stop procrastinating because I can’t much work done because I’m so phone oriented.” Nowadays, most of us deal with this and it’s a common problem to be on our phone all the time. At times it’s okay but not when we have tons of work to do.

Overall, New Year’s resolutions are to motivate us to accomplish goals. We all want to succeed so to have goals are amazing because we are challenging ourselves, which makes us stronger and makes it easier to accomplish. Every year, we can set new goals and be determined. For many of us, we can make it a better year or not.
