With the school year coming to an end, that can only mean one thing: Election season is also upon us.
ASB and commissioner elections have already ended this past week with the results being released soon. But next week class elections start and with that a new tradition.
All those running for a class officer position must also prove how spirited they are by participating in the spirit week that is happening while they are campaigning.
Activities director, Mr. Malcolm encourages anyone to run for a position. “ I think it’s important to be involved here at Logan, your voice can be heard and it can make a difference no matter who you are.”
Johan Casal, the current Junior class president emphasized the importance of running for the positions you want by saying, “ It’s always good to have people speak up for what they believe in.”
“You just have to go with the flow. You have to just accept that not everything is going to go the way you want it to and you have to be preapred for that.” Casal said when asked what advice he has for the next batch of student leaders.
Next week is the upcoming election for class offices. Everyone is encouraged to dress up and participate according to their class. Monday is viral day, Tuesday is tourist vs celebrities, Wednesday is heroes vs villains, Thursday is decade day (time zone depends on the class), and Friday is your chance to represent you class by wearing your class colors.
There was a meet on Tuesday during lunch in colt court. After that voting will proceed in room 68 until Friday when election results come out. Good luck to everyone running, and don’t forget to vote for who you think should represent your class.
