In the past few weeks there has been a total of six false fire drill alarms set off here at James Logan High School, causing much unnecessary commotion.
Staff, along with some students, have shared the frustration of evacuating, especially after discovering the cause of these inconvenient drills. Unfortunately, we cannot release this information so that individuals do not attempt to imitate what is being done.
On the bright side, we have identified one of the students that have been triggering the alarms and we hope this will put an end to the ongoing issue, though there is still a possibility of other copycats. Faculty and staff are working to ensure that these disruptive alarms stop so that we can return to our regular schedules.
Teachers are encouraged to wait by their classroom doors between the minute bell and until the beginning of the period to prevent this from happening again. Abhi Brar is confident that doing so will help stop these random occurrences, thus improving the productivity of each class.
