All of Logan’s car lovers were really looking forward to school on Friday. The annual Lowrider show took place on May 4th, 2018 in the parking lot near the portable classrooms. Everyone expressed excitement towards the start of the event. The participants were happy to be able to showcase the cars that they care about, and the students were excited to check out all the models at the show.
“I have attended the event for three years now,” said Samuel, a proud car owner and yearly participant of the Lowrider show. “The event has been dying down gradually, not as many people show up anymore.”
Samuel is the owner of three Cars, all of which are from different decades. His favorite one is the Chevrolet Camaro- IROC-Z 1986 followed by Hudson Hornet from 1954 and a 1969 Ford Mustang 428 Cobra Jet.
Car care is very important to the participants of the Lowrider shows.
“I always make sure I drive my car carefully, this means, I don’t speed or force the engine to much,” said Erik Diaz, a Lowrider participant. “I make sure to change the oil every 1,000 miles. I keep it clean inside and outside, I take it to the car wash every week,”
It is very obvious that the participants at the Lowrider event love their cars very much.
“I would never sell this car, even if someone offered me one million dollars, it is too special for me, it is part of my life,” Said Robert.
This year’s Lowrider event wasn’t as great as the last show. Many of participants did have fun, but they weren’t satisfied with the results that came with this event.
