Star Wars Rogue One, released on December 16, 2016, and is a great addition to the Star Wars franchise.
It is a stunning movie that is able to answer questions for Star Wars Episode 4. The actors deliver a stunning performance. Also, the diversity of the cast has increased, which is is a welcome change. Donnie Yen and Jiang Wen are international star that are great additions to the cast. The movie didn’t involve a lot of computer generated imagery (CGI), which is great because it made the action look more real. I don’t know what kind of re shoots that the movie had to go through, but I think it still fit in the plot very well. The plan to not include any force users in the movie paid off because it gave a better idea of how regular soldiers fight without any Jedis and Siths. However, the beginning did bother me a bit, since they introduce Jyn Erso and Captain Cassian Andor. It felt rushed when they switch between the two characters making it hard to determine what is happening.
Overall, the movie is great and beautiful without using too much CGI. I hope that there will be more canon movies because this one is worth watching.
