On April 25, 2017, CI Games released the third addition to the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series, and it is definitely off to a rocky start.

Unlike its predecessor, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is utilizes a more open and linear world layout. The concept is great, and the sniping experience requires real skill to feel like an actual marksman.

However, the main problem is that the world feels somewhat empty. There are the regular objectives of rescuing hostages and capturing outposts, but only the active missions have more objectives in them.

In addition, the game is marred with glitches, and it requires a whopping five minutes to just load it. The characters’ AI in the game, unfortunately, is not adequately reactive to the certain situations they experience.

Similarly to the Call of Duty series, another inconvenience in the game is that many of the characters are bullet-spongy, allowing them to tank an unrealistic number of shots. As of now, CI Games is updating and working hard to patch up the areas which need improvement.

Personally, I would not recommend this game because the technical issues are excessive, and the story-line is not particularly compelling. Until major updates can completely revamp the game experience, it is something you should stay away from.
