Shane was a senior at James Logan High School. She was beloved by her classmates and was always a source of happiness and support for the people around her.

Shane was on her way back home, right after senior prom night. At the intersection of Fremont Boulevard and Darwin Drive, a blue Chevy Malibu ran the red light, and collided with the black Toyota Yaris that Shane was in.

The driver of the Yaris, Shane’s mother, survived with non-life threatening injuries. Additionally, the driver and the passenger of the Malibu also survived with minor injuries. Sadly, however, Shane was pronounced dead at the scene.

Let us all mourn for Shane and support her family with our condolences in this difficult time, and at the same time, cherish and appreciate the people around us who are still graced with the blessing of life.
