After the many failed attempts of getting Creative Writing to become a class, someone decided it should become a club.

Roxanne Ramos, a sophomore here at Logan, wanted to start a Creative Writing club after the class kept on getting dropped due to the lack of students.  Many people, including Ramos, wanted to take the class, only to get disappointed once they heard it’s been dropped.

Mr. Seaton, who was Ramos’ Honor English I teacher, proposed making a Creative Writing club.

“He proposed to start a creative writing club in the meantime. I liked the idea of at least having that platform,” said Ramos.

Mr. Seaton would be the adviser for the club, and Ramos would be the president.

Ramos felt the importance of this club, besides the temporary outlet to replace the class.

My goal is to encourage writers to come out and have a safe, judge free environment where they can do what they love without being out in the spotlight.
The club is planning on getting started next year, but Ramos in search for people to be a part of the team to launch the club.  If she succeeds, she will go through with  an informational meeting for people interested, sometime before the school year ends.
