Second semester’s club fair took place during 4th and 5th period lunches on Tuesday and Thursday.

Many students had negative feelings about this semester’s club fair.

Tiffany Bello, a junior, said, “I prefer last semester’s club fair  because I didn’t see many clubs selling foods like semester one. However, there were a lot more clubs that had homemade foods to sell, so I believe more people bought these foods compared to the food that clubs bought from stores. I also liked how this semester’s club fairs had more cold Boba drinks to sell, unlike last semester’s because they sold out pretty quickly.”

Hannah Lina Hebron, a senior, said “I went to both club fairs this year, and I would say they were both okay. I liked the variety of foods that were being sold and saw a lot of cool clubs to join.”

Hebron said she was dissatisfied with the pricing of the food and inconsistency of the food portions.

“I went to buy two slices of pizzas for $4 today, and they gave me one normal size piece, and the other pizza piece was ¼ of the first piece they gave me,” she added.

Many students were still happy with the fair despite these issues. “I feel like this semester’s club fair went a lot better than the one in semester one’s because everyone already knew what to expect foodwise, so they came prepared with money,” senior Joshua La Rosa, the co-president of the JLHS Bioinformatics and BMES Club, commented. Rosa said, “Our club sold churros and ice cream. We sold out all our foods by the end of 5th-period lunch. Everyone loved them.”

Eduardo Salas, a senior, was also happy with his club’s profit from the fair.

“We sold quite a lot for this semester. My club was the MECHA club. We sold Jamba Juice. I was surprised to see a lot of people enjoying our foods.”

I trust everyone had a wonderful time in these two club fairs we’ve had this year. We look forward to next year’s club fairs as well!
