Go-Guardian is a software sponsored by schools who supply chromebooks for teachers to use nationwide. It cost schools approximately lower than seven dollars per student based on the length of the contract and subscriptions bought.Through this program, it is possible for teachers to monitor what students are doing in the class period and control their chromebook pages and tabs from their own equipment. The purpose is to prevent students from possibly harmful material that they may be exposed to, stop them from getting off guard during class, and recovering lost or stolen chromebooks. Hence, most teachers favor using this software to keep the education system working sufficiently.

Several students have mixed feelings regarding Go-Guardian. Breanna Cao stated “I think that it’s a pretty useful website because it prevents people from cheating on an online test, especially if I spent much effort studying for it and other students didn’t.” The software enforces justice and eliminates injustice.

Jasmine Dhillon stated, “I kind of like it because it keeps me and others focused in class than from wandering off and searching up other stuff.” In her opinion, the software is a big help to maintain a good grade.

Nevertheless, my sister stated “It’s weird when your teacher knows everything about your history.” Some students believe it is an invasion of their privacy. A few students agreed that the software ruins the mutual relationship between a teacher and a student because they feel like they’re considered untrustworthy, when they were asked about this situation. Go-Guardian has both disadvantages and advantages.
