Trump supporter, Carlos Gonzalez, shares opinion on Trump ending the DACA program. He supports Trump’s decision and wants to tell people why it is good for this country and its people.

“Illegal immigrants are Illegal immigrants and they cannot stay. We should not be using our resources to educate people that should not be in the United States in the first place. In California alone we used $34.84 billion on illegal immigrants every year and $15.6 of that is used on the education of illegal immigrants. That is a lot of money that can go to real American boys and girls who go to school everyday. Trump ending DACA is something I completely agree with and a huge win for America. They have broken a law by simply being here since they are undocumented, while at the same time cheating others who wait to get their documents to live in the USA. I am completely fine with people coming into my Country legally but when they walk in without permission and start using resources such as welfare and are actually cared for and helped by sanctuary cities, it makes my blood boil.”

Then I asked him about the wall and he said, “A wall will do wonders in the battle against drugs coming in from Mexico but in reality it probably wouldn’t be a good investment. I would love to see a big and beautiful wall built on our southern border but only if Mexico pays for it.”

Then he shared his opinion on the work Trumps been doing and he said, “I believe Trump is doing what he can. He could be doing more and I would think he is doing a better job but he is being stopped left and right by the liberals and the conservatives who hate him and his guts. Speaking on the things that he’s done so far I believe he’s done an amazing job, handling north korea, meeting with world powers such as Poland’s president, Merkel, Trudeau, and Macron.”

After him sharing his opinion on Daca and Trump’s presidency I asked if he was being treated unfairly at school for being a Trump supporter and he said, “I have had my conflicts and snide comments for being a Trump supporter especially when the election was happening but now that it’s all over and happened most people have totally forgot I am a Trump supporter and so I am not treated any differently. If i were to be more outspoken and brought my MAGA hat and wore my HIllary for prison shirt more often then maybe I think people would try to hurt me either verbally or physically.”

While some at James Logan disagree with Trump ending DACA, some agree and there are always two sides to every story.
