Logan, get your iron up, the blood drive is here.

On Wednesday February 22, starting 8:15 AM to 2:15 PM, students who signed up ahead in leadership room are going to receive an appointment card during class for times that they signed up for.

In order to donate, students are required to have their blood tested for the amount of iron they have. After that, they are required to have they have their weight taken, and be examined if they are healthy enough to donate.

Some tips for donors to keep their iron up is to drink plenty of orange juice with your cereal. Also by eating rich food such as red meat, fish, poultry, bean, spinach, and raisins, the organizers can determine how much iron is contained in the body.

Donors are recommended to have a good night sleep, eat plenty of breakfast the morning of the drive. Donors are also advised to drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.

Donors will have 1 pint of blood taken out. The procedure will last approximately 8-10 minutes, and afterwards, the donors will be awarded a T-shirt and something to eat.
