With skit season approaching fast, classes are busy with preparing for the highly anticipated annual school event. The clubs have set their goals, and come up with a game plan focusing on how they want to execute their individual skills
With the unfortunate cancellation of last year’s night rally, how exactly are classes preparing ?
“We feel as if we’re on the right track…We’ve been asking everyone’s opinion on what we can improve as well as how we can execute it.” Junior Class President Johan Casal said when asked how they were getting ready for skit.
Casal also addressed the topic of what he hopes to achieve this year for the class,” We’ve been trying to get more people to join, one way we’re trying to do that is by updating people via email…If you’re a junior you should have been getting our emails already.”
Osbaldo Longoria Nava, the Sophomore class president said that the class of 2020 is preparing by just organizing schedules as well as flexibility of each class member.
Alina Lam, the senior class president said the following when asked what they wanted to accomplish this year that they did not last year, “In addition to night rally, we actually want more inclusivity so we’re opening our doors to a more diverse cast.”
“We’re trying to organize schedules, organize soundtracks…As long as we find ways to balance everyone’s views and still make things enjoyable we should be fine.” Lam also said.
Alexa Sass, the ASB president this year weighed in on what it felt like to be approaching her last skit performance in high school,”I’m definitely excited but I’m also really sad. It’s pretty emotional for me being able to grasp that it’s my last one,” said Sass. “Being ASB president specifically I really get to enjoy it because I get to see that people are doing what I did the past couple years and see how they progress later on.” Sass also added.
Skit practices for each class will be starting soon; juniors and seniors will be starting as soon as next week.
