The 2019 season of the Girls James Logan volleyball was an incredible season, it came with many ups and downs with James logan beating the second-best team in the nation and losing in the second round of NCS.

“It was like a dream,” said Alexandria Gloria explaining the many emotions all the players shared after they had beaten the second team in the nation.

The James Logan girls volleyball had finished the season with an impressive record of 27-16; this was also Logan’s 5th year in a row going undefeated in league. Logan also had four players who made first-team all-league: Alexandria Gloria, Josephina Tuinauvuai, Abigail Viado, and Angelina Estrada.

“I never was interested in Volleyball before,” said Alejandro Tovar, who is a good friend of players on the volleyball team and also showed hype for their success throughout the season attracting many new fans.

The James Logan Lady Colts again dominated throughout the whole year going 14-0 in the league for the 5th year straight.

“We work hard in practice and it shows on the court why we have been able to dominate our league,” Gloria, MVAL’S MVP, said.

“I go to all of their games, ‘prepared’ is one of the many words I would use to describe the team as a whole,” Tovar said. “They always came ready, from attitude and smiles, effort to injuries, and from communication to yelling.”

Although the team was disappointed with the loss to Campolindo High School (3 sets to 0) in the second round of NCS, the team can still celebrate the excellent season as a whole.

“It’s all about having fun at the end of the day, and I had fun every game of the season,” Senior Malia Irwin said.
