This post contains updates on the bathroom tagging and graffiti containing shooting threats.
There has been graffiti found containing a troubling message following the practice intruder drill today.
This is believed to be a hoax and is going through investigation. Students should not be alarmed and return to campus as per normal.
Thank you to all staff & students for a successful lock-down today – it took less than 1 min to secure campus! There was also graffiti in a restroom that we believe is a hoax. Students should attend school as regular. We are investigating this hoax.

Update: The message written in the Logan bathroom today is similar to the one written on the bathroom wall of San Leandro High School yesterday. As of right now it is believed to be a copy cat incident and a hoax. The lock-down drill on March 15 was not a drill because of the bathroom tagging.
Update- March 3/16 12:37: As of right now, Logan is under a code blue lockdown. All students should immediately return to a classroom.
Update- 3/16 12:46: A teacher has been notified of another tagging in one of the school bathrooms. Again, all students should remain in a classroom.
Update- 3/16 12:53: The tagging has been found in the hallway’s girls bathroom.
Update- 3/16 1:02: At 12:40 an email was sent out letting staff know that the next steps were being taken, and that classroom activity may proceed. Students should continue to remain in their classroom.
Update- 3/16 1:26: A cop, CST or administrator will be coming to the classrooms to dismiss students. They will be starting with the 100s and the 200s. All students should heard towards the front.
As a precaution, JLHS went to a "shelter in place" lock-down after a student reported graffiti in a restroom about school safety. Classes will be dismissed early, again as a precaution. We notified parents via phone. Will update again with more information.

Update- 3/16 1:44: Students cannot go to the locker right now, and must leave campus right away. If anyone needs any items from their locker, then campus will be open tomorrow. Any student taking the bus can walk to the bus station, and any student who is driving can drive home. If students are waiting for their ride, then they are to wait in the cafeteria.
Update- 3/16 2:10: The 100s, 200s and Little Theater have been cleared. The hallways are being cleared right now.
I seriously don’t understand what possesses someone/people to do these types of things that make others feel unsafe and waste police resources. Totally unnecessary.
