A 10 year long wait has led to, “Avengers: Infinity War”, which will leave you excited, confused, sad, and speechless; in that order.
I got to watch “Avengers: Infinity War” Thursday night before it came out and it was one of the coolest movie experiences I had been to. Much like “Star Wars” and “Black Panther” as soon as the title came onto the screen everyone in the audience was cheering and wooing. Due to the fact that almost every MCU character was reunited in this movie to defeat Thanos, there was a lot of cheering each time a different character appeared on the screen.
Seeing all the characters from the different movies interact with each other was one of the main highlights when I watched this. From the funny, sarcastic banter from the Guardians of the Galaxy to the smart alecky comments between Doctor Strange and Tony Stark/Iron Man. Everything about the dialogue was amazing because it all remained true to who their characters were from their own movies.
You have to make sure that you don’t go into this movie with any expectations of what might happen. Trust me, it’s nothing you could have ever thought of when sharing your theories with your friends or family. It’s also best to not go into this movie thinking that you’re going to see a lot of just one character. They did a pretty good job overall at labelling where each person was and didn’t spend too much time on just one group of people. I’d say it was pretty spread out in terms of each character getting enough screen time. There were never any parts that went by too fast or too slow which made sure to keep you from falling asleep during the movie.
One scene I’d like to mention is with Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man. I won’t directly say the context but in this scene his acting is so raw and natural that you could hear almost everyone in the audience shedding a tear. The way he was able to display such intense emotions in under five minutes shows how talented an actor he truly is.
The ending will leave you in utter disbelief and honestly, left me speechless for a while. It made me want to start talking with other people about what they thought might happen after seeing the ending so perfectly executed in a way that left me mad and needing answers. Sitting in absolute silence in a crowded theatre made me see how I wasn’t the only one who was shocked and hurt at the ending that Marvel decided to throw at us.
Forget anything you heard about “Avengers: Infinity War” and just go see it for yourself to see why everyone, including me, feels so sad and distraught knowing we’ll have to wait about a year for part two. However, that does mean there for sure is going to be a part two which will hopefully tie up any loose ends. Be prepared to say “goodbye” to some of the characters you may have known and loved over the past ten years so enjoy the time you have with them while they’re still on the screen. Make sure to stay for the end credit scene and experience this whirlwind of emotions by watching it this weekend!
ugh I can’t wait to see it !!!
