Every Logan wrestler’s goal is to make it on the Wall of Fame in the wrestling room.  Unfortunately, not everyone’s dreams are accomplished. The only way to make it in the Wall of Fame is to win NCS or place top 8 in the CA State Tournament.

If you make it in the Wall of Fame, a frame is posted of you in your stance and it shows your accomplishments of your high school wrestling career. Getting your picture on the Wall is like leaving your legacy to show the next generation of Logan wrestlers what you accomplished.

The Colts had one of its most successful seasons since the 90’S.  The Girls team, Junior Varsity, and Varsity team each won NCS Team Titles. Even more, the Colts had 6 NCS Individual Champions, 4 state placers and its first girl State Champion.

Wendy Ho, Jacob Donato, Jacob Macalolooy, and Clayton Hartwell were the class of 2014 inductees.

Wendy Ho placed 5th in NCS her junior year. This year, she made a big jump on the podium winning herself an NCS title.

Jacob Donato had his best season of high school. Donato won the Mission Valley Athletic League Tournament, won his first NCS title, and placed 4th in the CA State Tournament. He was also voted Most Valuable Player and Captain. Next year he will be going to New York University to wrestle and study medicine.

Jacob Macalolooy had success all through out high school. This being his senior year, he broke the Logan Wrestling record of Most Career Pins.  Macalolooy had 94 career pins. Macalolooy won his 4th MVAL Title, won his 2nd NCS title, and took 7th in the CA State tournament.  Macalolooy is just the 4th wrestler to win four straight MVAL Titles.  He was voted Most Dedicated, and captain. Jacob has also been accepted to attend University of Columbia next fall. He joins the wall with his father Jeffery Macalolooy and his uncle Jonathon Macalolooy.

Clayton Hartwell had another great season. Hartwell wasn’t the type of person you would expect to be so good. He didn’t really have any success in his wrestling career until his sophomore year of high school. He barely won any matches his freshman year. With all the hard work he put in, he was able to win 3 MVAL titles, 2 NCS Titles and placing twice in the CA State Tournament. He was voted MVP, Captain and holds the record of season pins of 37.

The varsity team finished the season 12th in the state, while girls varsity ended 4th in the state. This was their best showing since 1997. These Inductees now leave Logan for their underclassmen to continue the legacy.
