On Friday, April 17, 2015, GSA (Gay Straight Alliance)  will be hosting the Day of Silence at James Logan High.

Day of Silence raises awareness to those of LGBT community who have been silenced because of who they are and who they are supposed to be. GSA will be passing out signs throughout the week.

The event will begin once first period starts and at the end of seventh period and those who participate are required to stay silent. After seventh period, GSA and other participants are expected to meet in Colt Court to “break the silence”.

All students are not required to join, and those who choose not to engage in the event can do so if they please.

Teachers are aware of this event, although it is suggested you speak to your teacher prior to event if you wish to participate.
