Justin Bieber just dropped his fourth studio album, Purpose, and wow. A lot of people were expecting Justin to make the best comeback ever, and that is what we got. Purpose shows Bieber’s new EDM sound, still combining the sound from his previous album, Journals.
Justin really put a lot of work into the music, and you can tell because he sounds great. He might have lost his breath control, but other than that his vocals are really good.
The album opens up with a song called Mark My Words. Let me tell you about this song, justin sounds so good, the little humming in the beginning and the “mark my words” melody, I think I died and went to heaven.
Another song I think is so good is No Pressure, with Big Sean, it is calm, and it feels like Justin is speaking to me on a spiritual level. And then Big Sean comes in with a soft rap, I could not handle it. Too good.
Sorry is a song that was released as a single before the full album came out and it is an upbeat song. In the lyrics Justin keeps repeating sorry and is asking for another chance. I really like it because it is a fun song, but also holds a message. This entire album holds a message.
Another song people were really excited for was the What Do You Mean? Remix with Ariana Grande. The song overall is very popular and has that EDM beat, but then Ariana comes in and starts to sing along with Justin and her vocals sound very great. They sound really amazing together. This is a collaboration people have been waiting for for a while.
No Sense is the eighth track and it features Travis Scott. Justin once again sounds really good, this song reminds me of something but I can not figure out what. But toward the end Travis comes in and begins to rap, the combination of this and Justin sort of create the song. I really like the beat and the “no sense” repetition in the back.
The Feeling is a song that features Halsey, a very popular artist and it sounds good. It has the beat and Halsey sounds alright. Justin sounds very well, it has a mysterious vibe to it. I think if it were not for Halsey’s popularity, the song would have not made the album.
Purpose is in my opinion one of Justin’s best and I say one of his best because Journals was everything. Also, this album was quite anticipated because it is his first album in 2 years. So far it is doing really well. His songs are dominating the iTunes top 20 and it is the number one album in the US.
