Samsung is going to release its new S8 and S8 Plus which will most likely come out during the end of March and worldwide in April. The new phone is going to have a curved edge style screen appearance, as it had for the S6 and S7. Therefore, the notifications will appear on the side when the phone is turned off. The S8 shall remain water resistant, similarly to the S7. The gigabytes size is the same as before 32, 64, and 128. However, there are rumors that there might be a 256 gb. The colors are going to be the usual black, gold, and white. Nevertheless, a new blue coral color will be introduced.

However, some features will be changing, instead of having the fingerprint sensor on the home button like it did before, now it is on the back of the phone located near the camera. It’s going to be harder reach, yet, more efficient to open the phone as the whole entire thumb can be placed on it. The home button will no longer be kept. I’m quite sad regarding this because in the S6 plus, you just had to press the home button twice to take a picture. Additionally, rumors are that there might be an iris or eye scanner in the S8 which already has been featured in the Note 7.The battery will be having some major changes in order to fix Samsung’s reputation regarding exploding Note 7’s. To make sure that batteries don’t explode for the S8, Samsung may have Sony making the batteries because their equipment is known to be more heat resistant. It might help Samsung regain its reputation. Furthermore, it will have 4K display before it had 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD resolution. The screen sizes available are going to to be 6.2 for the plus and 5.7 inches for the S8, slightly bigger than before.

As for the camera, the quality is super clear for selfies compared with the iphone 7, which falls behind in this matter. For taking pictures in the other direction it’s very clear in the daytime. However, whenever its reflected by high lighting around nighttime, it’s not as clear and the iphone 7 plus. So, that’s one thing, I as 6s plus owner, personally hope changes.  Navjot Kaur stated “ what I really hate is that the battery dies so soon, its really annoying.” Battery life dies rather quickly, despite that the 6S and 7S have an ultra saving battery mode as well. Zach Epstein, a S7 owner stated on BGR.com that “Design is a matter of taste, I suppose, but it’s absolutely insane and inexcusable that apps running on the most powerful Android phone on the planet stutter and stammer.” Hence, he most likely wants to see improved apps. Harson from cnet.com, said that “To use its edges, you have to put it into a case that can’t protect it from a face-down fall.  It’s also slippery as a bar of prison soap.” It would be great if the S8 is made to have a stronger grip. Ranvir Gill, complained “the phone runs slow for the apps and stuff.”
