An up-and-coming pop and R&B singer Marteen Estevez, recently released his new single, “Sriracha”.
Marteen was born on April 6, 2001 in San Francisco, California. He started to pursue his music career at the age of 12 on Instagram where he instantly gained attention.
His producer known as JR Rotem has built Marteen’s career on promoting young singers and turning them into pop artists hitmakers. Who then eventually got signed a record deal with Warner Bros.
Marteen has also opened for singers such as Bryson Tiller, Fifth Harmony, and his cousin Kehlani. In 2017, he also took over the radio station Wild 7at7 with host Gabby Diaz.
On August 17, 2017, he released his new single called “Sriracha” on youtube and soundcloud.
Shot in West Oakland, Marteen’s music video for “Sriracha” is a nod to the fact the he grew up in the Bay Area.
One scroll through his youtube comments on “Sriracha” shows that Marteen has many fans in Korea. Watching the music video, it’s easy to see why. With his hair cut and his voice, he gives off a KPOP vibe.
“Sriracha” is one of the more unique songs of 2017. With its upbeat tempo, it’s reminiscent of Rebecca Black’s “Friday”.
