A few weeks ago, Logan hosted an improv show featuring members of our Drama Club. From 7:30 to 9, the Little Theater stage was occupied by 5 performers, where several games took place to entertain the audience.

There was a variety of games, including “Universal Remote”, where members acted out a scenario with a “referee” directing them to do certain activities whether it be changing the setting, making someone act in reverse, or even speeding themselves up as if in a VHS tape. There was also “The Bachelor”, where one member would act as someone choosing a date between the other three cast members.

My personal favorite game was “New Choice” where a scenario was set up, but at any moment the referee would yell “new choice”, and direct them to change a certain aspect of their acting or the scenario. Audience interaction was the key element of fun at this show. Several of the games allowed for audience suggestions of scenarios or characters such as The Bachelor where the audience suggested the three potential dates: Mahatma Gandhi, Shrek, and Bernie Sanders. The way the actors bounced off each other created a very loose atmosphere, letting the audience anticipate what unpredictable thing would happen next. It was obvious that the chemistry between the actors was the strong suit of the club.

Overall, the night was a fun filled and a well put together relief from school stress, shared with the audience and cast.
