unnamedIt’s that time of the school year when we find out what our class themes are. In order to make our floats, we need to know our class themes. The category that our themes are based on this year is, Sci-Fi. The Seniors got Back to the Future, Juniors got Tron, Sophomores got The Twilight Zone, and Freshmen got Men in Black.

For the Juniors, they nominated Tron. A lot of people were quite surprised by the theme or didn’t know what the movie Tron was about or even heard of it. Despite that, the float should be turn out well as they always have.

The Courier interviewed Jannet Rodriguez, a junior who isn’t a huge fan of the theme. She says, “Tron is stupid, we should have been Chicken Little.” Most of the Juniors agreed that the theme is bad, but what the float people have planned for the float should turn out great.

The Sophomores’ theme is The Twilight Zone. Natasha Lopez, one of my classmates in Journalism said, “I actually like it, it brought back a lot of memories because I would always watch it when I was little.”

The Freshmen got Men in Black.  They’re pretty satisfied with what they got. Deanya Khairy, one of the few freshmen says, “I think it’s cool, since we are new to the school, we get to experience new things we never experienced when we were in middle school.”

Last but not least, the Seniors got Back to the Future. I interviewed Andrew Moses, a senior here. He said a few positive things about his class theme. “I think it’s pretty dope, finally got a good theme! Our class always had the crappy themes since freshmen year, we always had dumb themes.” Seniors plan go out with a bang this year.
