Tyler Oakley is well known youtuber who has been making and putting out content since 2007.

When he began posting videos on YouTube, it started out as a video diary. As time passed, an audience began to form and soon enough, thousands of people began to subscribe. This eventually became a career for Tyler, and he began posting videos daily. Many of his videos contained LGBT-related topics, pop culture, collaborations with other youtubers, and just some Q and A’s.
Tyler is a very large advocate for the LGBT community, along with being one of most popular openly-gay internet icons. He also took advantage of his voice to encourage others to support The Trevor Project, which is a charity that promotes suicide prevention of LGBT youth.

Because of his large following, Tyler is also very well known for grabbing the attention of many celebrities.

Some celebrities include Liam Payne, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Julie Chen, Ellen DeGeneres, and even the First Lady Michelle Obama.
Even with all the popularity and the fame, Tyler stays close to fans and often refers to them as “My People.” He often goes to yearly conventions such as Vidcon and Playlist Live to meet and hang out with his fans. Just recently he began touring around the world doing performances and interacting with fans.

For fans who cannot make it to conventions and tours, Tyler is highly active on social media. You can often see him tweeting and replying to fans’ comments.
