Girls Tennis
On Tuesday the 9th, the Varsity Girls Tennis team lost a close one to American falling 3 matches to 4. However, on Thursday the Lady Colts swept Moreau 7 to 0. They hope to build on that momentum when they take on Washington Monday afternoon.
Cross Country
The Colts participated in the Artichoke Invitational on October 8th. Overall the team did well as the Frosh-Soph Boys team won the meet and had top players of Jaskaran Mohem 1st, Michael Chadwick 2nd, Makaio Mims 3rd, and Luke Fewx 6th. The Boys Varsity got 2nd as a team and all 5 boys medaled.
Football
The Varsity Colts football team was on a bye last week and used the extra time to prepare for the away game this coming Friday against American. Last Friday, the Football team brought home the “W” on Homecoming by defeating Irvington 55-7. Seniors were honored for Senior Night as well. The strong offensive performance moved the team above 300 points for the season and into second place in the MVAL.
Volleyball
The Varsity team continued their league dominance this year by defeating Irvington at home on Tuesday in straight sets. They followed that up with a crushing sweep of the Warriors at Mission San Jose. This improved the #3 ranked Lady Colts to 12-0 in league play as they traveled to Stockton for a weekend tournament, where they became the tournament champions.
Girls Water Polo
The Girls in the pool competed in the Autumn Invitational the weekend of the 5th and 6th where they capped a strong showing by defeating Napa 8-5. That moved the Girls record to 3-0 for that Saturday. They followed up that strong showing by defeating the Mission San Jose Warriors 13 to 1 on Wednesday. Junior Jenna Mukaled scored 7 goals in the rout and Junior Julie McCarthy had a strong day in the goal.
Boys Water Polo
On Saturday, October 6th, the Varsity Boys Water Polo team won a neutral site game against the Willow Glen Rams of San Jose by a score of 9-6. They followed that with a 16-6 smackdown of Mission San Jose on Thursday. Senior Ryan Boyer made 4 goals, 2 assists, and 3 steals in the match against the Warriors.
