The Logan class of 2016 defeated the class of 2017, 9-7, last Friday.
Henna Mohabbat of the seniors scored the first touchdown bringing them up 6-0. Soon after, the juniors scored, bringing them up 6-7.
The juniors offense mainly ran the ball, but once they decided to pass it, cornerback for the seniors, Khamaria Hillmon, almost intercepted it until a junior bumped into her, knocking it out of her hands.
There were also two controversies during the game between the teams, but eventually the refs and coaches went to end it.
No one scored until the last minute of the game when Kiret Pattar of the seniors scored a field goal.
Kiret had not practiced scoring a field goal, so everyone was standing from their seats when they saw that the ball made it through. The senior girls then ran onto the field, before the game was actually over.
This made up for the class of 2016’s loss last year, but the juniors put up a good fight at the game.
