Marvel Cinematic Universe brings the character of Dr. Strange to life, and opens up new territories for the giant of Superhero movies to explore.

Out of the many trailers were shown during the Comic Con, one that captured many’s eyes was “Dr. Strange.”  The trailer for Dr. Strange was something new in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  The protagonist, Dr. Strange, is a materialistic surgeon with a medical PHD. However, a car crash that destroys his ability to perform surgeries forces him onto a journey of truth-finding and self-exploration.  This journey in Tibet introduces him to “The Ancient One,” who becomes a mentor to Strange. The Ancient One was born 500 years ago, discovered magic at a very young age, and takes on the duty of protecting the material dimensions from dark magical forces.  When Strange meets the mystical guru, he was placed into another reality.  Since then, Strange trains with The Ancient One and takes on the duty.  As Strange trains to become the the best at his work, he is faced with dark sorcerers led by Kaecilius.

The movie delivers many breath-taking visuals, such as The Ancient One reshaping the city of London; these visuals are inspired by Steve Ditko who was the co-creator of Dr. Strange. This movie is highly anticipated as it focuses on magic and mystical arts, which are rare elements in other Marvel movies.

The cast, which consists of Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen, Benedict Wong, and many more, is one of the strongest combinations out of all Marvel movies.  Fans of the comics and the actors are all excited to see the film, which will be released in the U.S. on 11/4/16, this Friday.
