This week we went ahead and asked Logan students: What do you think the hardest part of being a girl/boy? We asked the boy version for girls and vice versa.
Believe it or not a lot of the answers were very genuine and appropriate.
Reeza Gonzales, a senior, thinks the hardest part about being a boy is that they “can’t show real emotions because they would be seen as a weak person.”
Yulissa Avalos thinks quite the opposite. “They have it easy, aint nothing hard about being a guy.”
Julian Hernandez thinks the hardest part about being a girl is “that so many people try and get at them.”
Marcos Piedra believes “living independently and strongly in a male dominated world where men obviously have more privilege” is the hardest part about being a girl.
Anmol Singh agrees with Yulissa by stating, “Being a guy is easy. Society’s expectations of girls, they have to do more, unlike us.”
Gary Bernados said the most obvious tough thing about being a girl is having “a period every month, my girl friends always complain about it.”
In conclusion there are a lot of tough things we have to endure being our gender. There’s a long list that can go for both sides. So no matter what, just remember someone else is going exactly what you are.
