It has been decided that there will be no senior quotes for the 2015-2016 yearbook.
Senior quotes were not planned originally, but they were put back into consideration after a student petition began making its way around the school.
In its one week signing period the petition reportedly managed to get about 946 signatures.
According to Alexandra Newsom, creator of the petition, Activities Director Glaze told her during the senior panoramic that while there won’t be any quotes in this year’s yearbook, there is a possibility that they will be included in future ones.
It was also mentioned that though they won’t be in the yearbook, quotes may be posted online.
As for the quotes of future senior classes, the plan may be to have a page dedicated to quotes rather than to have them under student photos. This allows the portraits to be larger and look more uniformed, as opposed to having a picture with a block of text under it next to one that does not.
