Christmas break approaches right around the corner, and with all the stress building up from this recent political season, what better gift is there than cozying up to your favorite show or movie from anywhere?

As of November 30, Netflix is now offering free downloads of shows and movies to any compatible device with your Netflix account that you can watch without need for internet access. However, only certain titles, such as their Netflix originals like “Stranger Things” and “Breaking Bad”, are currently available for download.

The new development allows movie watchers to download a certain movie and watch it later in a car or on a flight, even when there is no internet access. Many Netflix viewers are relieved by this update, as there has been a recent push for Netflix to allow people to watch movies offline.

Other companies such Amazon Movies have already been allowing users to download movies and keep them in storage for up to a year, and this approach has been well received. It is nice to see Netflix following suit of other companies like Spotify, and evolving further to keep us happy.

In such polarizing times, it is important for people to keep balance between the hectic reality and leisure time. Thanks to this development, we can keep that balance a little more easily.
