During a time like this, staying at home can tend to get boring and exhausting. However, there are many ways to go outside safely, and that can include going on a hike, bike rides, or even going on a run to appreciate nature and how calming it can be. Not only will you feel relaxed, but you will also obtain strength for your legs–and with every step ,improve your core. According to the article, These Benefits of Hiking Will Make You Want to Hit the Trails “Most hikes involve climbing up a big hill or even a mountain, then coming back down, a combo that’s a great workout for your legs and one of the biggest benefits of hiking.” This states how hiking, biking, or running can be a positive way to move and help strengthen your body. With that being said, some of the best places I have hiked, biked, or ran can include Coyote Hills, Redwood, and Sunol.
Coyote Hills Regional Park, located in Fremont, California, has many trails to follow. Some of them can include the Bayview and Meadowlark Trail Loop, Quail and Bayview Loop, Bayview, Red Hill and Soaproot Trail Loop, or the Red Hill Loop Trail. I have been to Coyote Hills with my family and friends various times and have had an enjoyable time from how peaceful and relaxing it is. Coyote Hills also has a butterfly garden that can attract many visitors and children. They also have weekly craftwork courses events that are held there before COVID-19 occured and other types of activities as well. Another thing I like about Coyote Hills is that you can take walks with your dogs there. According to the website Coyote Hills Regional Park, reviewers state that they enjoyed strolling through the park and liked how there were many trials to choose from. Coyote Hills Regional Park is a great place to hike, bike or run at and is also a great place to have a picnic with your family and friends.
Another place that is a fun place to hike, bike or run is Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park which is located in Oakland, California. Some trails to go when you’re at Redwood Regional Park can be French, Bridle, and Stream Trail Loop, Stream, Mill and French Trail Loop, and Stream Trail via Skyline Blvd. I have been to Redwood multiple times and the atmosphere is calm and beautiful with the redwood trees around. The drive is quite far, but I believe that it is worth it from how relaxing the scenery is. There is also a park nearby and tables and benches nearby to have a picnic with your family and friends and also let children play in the playground. With that being said, Redwood Regional Park is a great place to hike, bike or run and I highly recommend to put it on your list of places to go to in the future.
Lastly, Sunol is also a fun and enjoyable place to hike, bike or run. Sunol Regional Park is located near the south of Pleasanton and the east of Fremont. Some trails to go to when you’re at Sunol Regional Park can be Canyon View Trail to Little Yosemite, Oak Tree – Woodland Loop, Little Yosemite, and Sunol Wilderness to Mission Peak. The great thing about the Sunol Regional Park is that there is also a waterfall when you are biking, hiking or running and the presence of it is so calming and relaxing to look at. Although the drive there is not that close as Coyote Hills, I feel as though it’s worth it from how quiet and peaceful the environment is. Dogs are also welcome there which is part of what I love about going there because animals can enjoy the atmosphere as well. Sunol Regional Park is a fun and delightful place to hike, bike and run and I believe that it is a place you should put on your bucket list.
All in all, Coyote Hills, Redwood, and Sunol Regional Park are great places to go out and explore nature and truly appreciate its presence and I highly recommend anyone to go there and put it on your list of places to bike, hike or run. Not only will you enjoy the atmosphere but you can also make memorable and precious memories with your family and friends when going to these different places. With the calming trees and beautiful atmosphere, it can be one of the best ways to let go and be in the moment.
