The 3rd part of The Divergent Series: Allegiant, presents ways of the country that the media usually attempts to hide if they knew.
With one of Hollywood’s unapologetic actresses, Shailene Woodley, along with Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller, and Zoe Kravitz as the main roles of the film. It was released in theaters March 18, 2016, and takes place in the city of Chicago.
In my experience, watching this movie was not exactly for entertainment, but analyzation. Sure, the action was a blast, but I feel like this film could be the start of a revolution as it opens the minds of more Americans.
The government based problem does not only exist in the movie, but in the world we live in and is hidden in a large portion of the society that is brainwashed by the media.
I believe that Allegiant was only willing to show some governmental problems in fear of getting in trouble. It was also a call to action, for a large thick wall to not be the solution for diversity, but acceptance.
Allegiant created “damaged” generations whose genetics were modified to secure the ruler’s power that is caused by fear. A counteraction that was used by ‘the man on the other side’ was to wipe the memories as children and keep them safe as they live their obedient lives.
The people of Chicago were occupied by their confusion of each other and philosophy, that they had almost gone the same direction as their previous monstrous dictator, Jeanine Matthews.
I highly recommend this film as a start to exercise the open mind, and also to submissives to a dominant leadership.
