Jake Mcelfresh is a solo artist who is known for his soothing and depressing acoustic music. He calls his one man show Front Porch Step. A lot of his songs hold the theme of heartbreak and backstabbing. If you’ve been through any of that then this is an artist you should definitely check out. Even if you are fortunate enough to not have went through those situations, you should still give his music a listen. Besides the dark themes in his music, he has a really loyal fanbase that continues to grow everyday.
He recently released two songs, ‘Whole Again’ and ‘A Lovely Mess’ that are going to be on his new EP (Whole Again) coming this December 2nd! You can pre-order it now on iTunes for only $3.99 . That link will take you to the EP on iTunes.
A Lovely Mess is about an out of control love and Whole Again is about a guy finally finding that significant other who makes them feel “whole again.” The ending of ‘Whole Again’ has a sweet electric guitar and drum instrumental. It was a perfect way to end such a powerful song and it’s different from any other work Jake has done. It makes listeners even more eager to hear how the rest of this EP will sound. It’s definitely one you don’t want to miss out on.
