There’s a new digital photography teacher in school, Anthony Dimaano, also known as Mr. Dimaano who used to teach at San Lorenzo High School. For some of those who had digital photography in the previous year of 2014-2015 knows that our former digital photography teacher, Ms. Rios, recently left. After Ms. Rios left there was a substitute teacher who taught for the remaining school year, Mr. Cruz.
Mr. Dimaano cares for his students and wants the best for them. He chose Logan because, “it has a history of having a really good photography program, I heard the students were very talented […] and Logan has a darkroom which is getting more and more rare nowadays […]”
Mr. Dimaano starts off his first year at Logan teaching his students the basics. He’s already looking forward to seeing what they make and maybe even entering their pieces into competitions.
There is a lot of curiosity whether or not everything might change from the previous year. Mr.Dimaano touches on Ms.Rios and what they have discussed.
“I have not met Ms. Rios in person, but I spoke to her on the phone.” (before Mr. Dimaano accepted the job) “She told me about the school and the students […] and then after I accepted the job she gave me some tips.”
Hopefully, this will be a great first year for both him and all of the new students being introduced to the world of photography.
