The Colts defeated the Washington Huskies once again last Tuesday. It was the Colts senior night and second time defeating Washington this season. The game ended with a score of 64-51.
This was also the last home game for Logan this season. Jordan Gilmete scored for the Colts in the first quarter, and Logan was in the lead all the way up to halftime.
“It’s a bittersweet feeling,” says Nabil Keyro, “it might not be the last time we play if we do good in the playoffs.”
The third quarter was where Washington started to catch up, but Logan still kept pushing, making the score 48-33 at the end of the 3rd.
Brendan Devera of the Colts shot a 3-pointer at the end of the game, making Logan 9-2 for the season.
“It was just full of emotion to have family and friends out here, it was our last home game so we had to make it count,” says Power Forward, Brenden Devera.
The Colts also defeated American High School last Friday, with a score of 68-48. The Colts are now 10-2 for the season, and possibly 11-2 tonight against Newark.
The Colts have their next game against rival Newark Memorial at Newark on Tuesday, February 16th at 7:30. This is the second time the Colts will play the Cougars this season, hopefully defeating them once again.
