Are you a Senior and excited for prom, but your budget isn’t enough to afford a dress?

Ms. Esquivez, the Mexican-American heritage teacher, and Ms. Bobadilla, also an ethnic studies teacher, are hosting this year’s Prince and Princess Project.

Here you ‘ll find dresses, tuxedos, shoes, and even jewelry that got donated from previous students that attended prom,or from stores that no longer want their merchandise. “

“Basically it’s our very own Princess Project, where girls who need a prom dress can come and get one for free,” said Esquivez.

This project has been a tradition for 7 years now, and it originally started as a community service project with a group of girls in her ethnic women studies class.

Esquivez added that they “are working to get make up artist to come and get the girls makeup, and hair done as well.”

Anyone that is not willing to pay extra money for a dress that is only going to be worn once should really take advantage of this opportunity. If you want to check it out go to the old choir room on Wednesdays after school from 2-3 pm.
