We pass hundreds of faces every day at Logan without ever saying a word, yet behind every face is a story to tell. Humans at Logan is an attempt to spotlight the many students on campus, giving their advice through interviews and smiles through photos.

Joshua Saul

An eye-catching detail students tend to first notice about this sophomore is his great physique. His frame might seem unachievable to the average student, but he describes that’s simply not true, and anyone can achieve it through constant work anddedication. Joshua only started going to the gym this year, but worked out from home in prior years. He goes to the gym after school four times a week and eats the food the school provides. His one piece of advice to Logan students is “Lock in.”

Milad Shokoohi

Logan senior Milad Shokoohi currently takes multiple AP courses, in addition to training in karate after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He echoes the importance of extracurriculars when recalling his time on the Logan cross country team, “You can go to the gym with people, whatever sport, anything you do. When I did cross country, I had a lot of friends that I ran with, and that’s like a whole separate thing from your friends in school […] you can make a lot more friends.” Milad’s advice to this year’s freshmen is, “ I would say don’t stress yourself too much over your grades. […] you should still try to get good grades, but at the same time, I think you should work on your extracurriculars way more…”.

Edwin Ortiz

Logan senior Edwin Ortiz rocks an iconic “For All the Dogs” t-shirt, representing Drake’s album. Which he said his mom got for him while she was in L.A. One thing Edwin wants people to know about him is,” I like Beabadoobee.”, though his current favorite song is “I Bet on Losing Dogs” by Mitski, and his advice to freshmen is, “Finish up with your work. […] don’t procrastinate. […] Honestly, that’s what a lot of people end up doing up until sophomore year. And then the stress starts to come all together whilst you’re still doing finals and whatnot. So just get everything done with so you can chill out at home and don’t procrastinate”.

Hargun Sandhu

Logan freshman Hargun Sandhu says her biggest change she felt coming to high school is the longer classes. She describes Wednesdays at her middle school, Itliong Vera Cruz, as ending at 1:00 pm.  Another problem she found with high school scheduling is not being in classes with friends. With  the massive number of students, she “[Feels] like with your old friends, you kind of start to distance because you don’t really have that many similar schedules.” One thing Hargun wants people to know about her is, “I like meeting new people. I’m very talkative when someone actually comes and talks to me.” Hargun’s favorite class this school year is Mr. Garrett’s ethnics class. Her current favorite song is “TBH” by PARTYNEXTDOOR.

Meena Ahmadi

Meena is a Sophomore, their one piece of advice for freshmen is “…do not skip because you’re gonna get addicted to it.” One thing that she wants everyone to know about her is that she is kind to everyone around her, as sometimes it may be intimidating to talk to other people.
