tigercub-660x400A Texan woman is arrested for having exotic animals in her home.

A 34 year old woman was arrested Monday for having exotic animals living in her home with her and her 14 year old daughter.

Houston police said there were 4 tigers, a fox and several monkeys found. An investigation started when a man payed three thousand dollars for a kitten but the kitten never came due to the fact that she said that the kitten was sick.

The exotic animals were living inside the house under the same roof as the child. The animals weren’t restrained and allowed to go around the house as they pleased. There were 3 tiger cubs and 1 adult tiger in the house.

BARC Animal Shelter worker, Ashtyn Rivet, says, “Having those animals in your home or even in your yard is dangerous.” She also said, “Wildlife can pose a threat to anyone around the house especially if they aren’t restrained”. BARC Animal Shelter took the animals into protective custody.

The woman, Trisha Meyer, is being charged with child-endangerment and theft after fleeing the neighborhood only to be later arrested in Nevada with her pets.

According to Dallas News, the tigers were confiscated, and she is now facing charges behind bars. Meyer is being held on 2,000 dollars bail.
