Empire recently started its second season. It airs every single Wednesday on FOX. A lot of people have been dying to watch it. About 16.2 million of the world’s population watched the first episode of the second season, just by that statistic it’s clear that it’s a really popular show. One thing a lot of people were excited to see who was gonna star in the second season. Only a couple of people have came out so far but rumors say that there will be more new stars throughout the season.
Empire is known for being a very dramatic, jaw dropping show, it’s also very funny. Eighteen episodes are to be aired this season, just like the last. Everyone is wanting more of Empire. There is a lot of rivals in the show like, #TeamCookie or #TeamLucious, but there is also #TeamCookie or #TeamAnika or how everyone that watches empire, Boo Boo Kitty.
Lucious Lyon, one of the main characters was mistakenly diagnosed with ALS in season one. While everyone was secretly glad that he was dying, he really wasn’t. Cookie which is Lucious’ ex wife, served 17 years in jail and wants her part of Empire, but Lucious won’t let her. Anika, known as Boo Boo Kitty, is Lucious’ ex-girlfriend, but she is still involved in Empire.
In the second season, the fight for Empire continues even though Jamal is in charge. Jamal Lyon, “won” the empire in a battle between his brothers, Andre and Hakeem. Andre Lyon is a lawyer and thinks he deserves the Empire. Hakeem is a rapper who loves attention and also wants Empire and he won’t give up until he gets it. Hakeem, the youngest of the three, slept with Anika to get back at Lucious. He’s the one that gives the most attitude, but who knows maybe in season two Jamal will be the drama queen.
Jamal, the middle child is disliked by his father, Lucious, for liking men. Cookie has always been there for Jamal even when she was in jail for 17 years, but recently Jamal has switched sides. Jamal is working with Lucious and kicking Cookie out of Lucious’ house after she was looking out for him. Also when Jamal was little Lucious threw him in the garbage can for dressing like a woman. In the season one finale Andre’s pregnant wife killed Vernon, a close ally. They kept it a secret from everyone but what they don’t know is that Vernon might have been the one that snitched Lucious out to the cops about Bunky (Cookie’s cousin), who he killed.This leads to Lucious being in jail in season two.
