University of Chicago, or UChicago, is one of the most prestigious Universities in the world because of its academic, social and political influences.

Founded in 1890, it is a private-research university in Chicago, Illinois. This university consists of the College (found in 1893), numerous graduate programs, professional schools, and a continuing school.

Along with arts and sciences, UChicago is well known for its professional schools: Pritzker School of Medicine, the Booth School of Business, a law School, School of Social Service Administrations and Divinity School. The school is very competitive with a 7.8% rate of acceptance, enrolling approximately 15,000 students this year. Even so it attracts scholars from all over the world.

In order to get accepted into the University, you need a minimum GPA of 3.75, and a SAT score ranging from 2140-2370 with almost a perfect score in reading and mathematics.

Being located in one of the largest cities in U.S., the campus is pretty diverse. UChicago offers the same tuition for in-state students as well as out-of-state students which is $47.514; however the university offers 68% of its students financial aid.

Another Private-University that will be on campus is Arcadia University.

Arcadia University is located on the east coast in Pennsylvania. Founded in 1853, it has a co-educational system and was ranked 25th in the master’s universities in North for the 2009 ranking.

Arcadia offers more than 80 fields to their undergraduates of studying. The university is primarily known for its abroad program, and is ranked No.1 in the nation for the number of undergraduate students participating in their broad experience in an university. Their medical program provides international opportunities to study abroad in London, Pro Bono connection in Jamaica, Guatemala and Peru.

The acceptance rate of Arcadia is 54% that requires an average SAT score of 1648, and an average GPA of 3.65. Tuition ranges from $19,450/semester to $38,900/year. Arcadia also has numerous financial option and scholarships.
