On Sunday, February 12th, the Grammys aired and the performers did not fail to put on an amazing show, especially Bruno Mars.
Many will remember Bruno Mars from his 2010 hit, “Grenade” that swept the nation. Since then he has remained in the spotlight and made his most recent performance one to remember. Mars performed his recent hit “That’s What I Like” at the 2017 Grammys and had every woman at the edge of her seat. He was accompanied by 2 back up singers who executed beautiful harmonies alongside Mars. Mars knows how to play towards the people and please the ears and eyes. His voice hit every high note perfectly and his dancing, although there wasn’t much, was just enough to go perfectly with his song.
The song ended and the award show cut to a commercial break so it seemed like that’d be the last we’d see from Mars for the rest of the show. However, he then emerged later on to pay homage to the late musical legend, Prince. Mars came out in the iconic sparkly purple Prince-esque suit and gave everyone the performance they’d been waiting for. This time Mars joined in with band and ripped it up on the electric guitar for song “Let’s Go Crazy”. Mars channeled Prince so well executed the performance perfectly. Mars has proved to be amazing throughout his active years but if you didn’t believe it before, you definitely should now. Musician, singer, song writer, dancer and producer, Mars has proved he is equipped to do it all and not miss a single beat.
