Logan is hosting their annual Fall Blood Drive this Wednesday, Oct 21st. Sign ups are located at the student windows by the main office at lunch.

There are some restrictions to donating blood. For example, you can only donate blood if you are sixteen years old or older. All sixteen year olds need to have permission by their parents to donate.

Also, there are weight restrictions if you are under a specific height. People signing up should verify that they are qualified to donate. There are weight restrictions because for people smaller than the limit, a pint of blood taken out of them will affect them more than the people who qualify.

When each student donates a pint of blood, they will receive a pint of ice cream.

This year, people running the blood drive are making sure that there isn’t a long wait time to donate. Students will schedule an appointment when they sign up and then on the day of the blood drive, they will be taken in right away at their appointment time.

The blood drive will take place in the Old Band Room.

As of now, about 10 people have signed up, but many people have been given permission slips to be able to donate.

Be sure to sign up now if you want to donate blood to someone in need.
